A big caution to logistic drivers in Asia

Many logistic drivers have to do some really big jobs from time to time, and driving in Asia could well be on the list, so it’s important to be prepared just in case you’re ever asked to drive in Asia. Firstly, you have to remember that there are going to a lot more bikes on the road, not just cycles and motorbikes but mopeds too, and these aren’t the most powerful vehicles.

That said, they are happy to weave through the traffic and as you’re driving a considerably larger vehicle you have to constantly pass them with caution, and you’re going to have to use your horn to make them aware of your presence a lot more than you would in the UK. You also need to remember that the same rules do not apply, and in Vietnam for example, people don’t always pay attention to red lights or green lights, so always be extra careful and use your mirrors constantly!

Important Transportation Laws and Information

When Running goods, its important to understand the relevant transportation laws. These laws will vary between countries, so if you are couriering over extreme ranges, you may have to consider the laws of several different states or continents.

Transport or Transportation Law deals with all forms of transportation. These laws derive from state, federal, and even local sources, and can apply very broadly at a transport system level or more narrowly to specific activities or things.

Forms of Transportation

Transportation law is not limited to standard vehicles like lories or cars. transportation law also concerns to rail, water vessels, bicycles, airplanes, helicopters, and any other form of getting from one place to another. Its important to remember that the laws affecting transportation concern not only to these modes of transit, but also to the infrastructure that supports them, such as roads, bridges, airports, trails, ports, etc.

Using Translation Apps When In Foreign Countries

When travelling through foreign countries it is likely that you will need to talk to certain people in those countries. Those people are likely not English speakers so you are going to have communication hiccups. To quell the issue there are many language translation apps available.

Language apps are useful as they can be installed onto a phone or tablet and kept with you at all times. A good example is the iTranslate app for Apple iphones and tablets.

This app has 90+ languages included, voice output and input, dictionaries and Romanisation. An impressive suite of features that all come in useful when dealing with a foreign language.

The voice input can be used to translate your voice and transform it into text. This text is then translated into another language. This is especially useful for translating phrases and much faster than deciphering a phrase book.
